गणतंत्र दिवस को 26 जनवरी भी कहा जाता है जो कि हर साल मनाया जाता है ये दिन हर भारतीयों के लिये मायने रखता है क्योंकि इसी दिन भारत को एक गणतांत्रिक देश घोषित किया गया था साथ ही आजादी के लंबे संघर्ष के बाद भारतीयों को अपनी कानूनी किताब ‘संविधान’ की प्राप्ति हुई थी। 15 अगस्त 1947 को भारत आजाद हुआ और इसके ढ़ाई साल बाद ये लोकतांत्रिक गणराज्य के रुप में स्थापित हुआ।
आजादी के बाद एक ड्राफ्टिंग कमेटी को 28 अगस्त 1947 की मीटिंग में भारत के स्थायी संविधान का प्रारुप तैयार करने को कहा गया। 4 नवंबर 1947 को डॉ बी.आर.अंबेडकर की अध्यक्षता में भारतीय संविधान के प्रारुप को सदन में रखा गया। इसे पूरी तरह तैयार होने में लगभग तीन साल का समय लगा और आखिरकार इंतजार की घड़ी 26 जनवरी 1950 को इसको लागू होने के साथ ही खत्म हुई। साथ ही पूर्णं स्वराज की प्रतिज्ञा का भी सम्मान हुआ।

On 26th January, India celebrates the republic day every year. This year we have to celebrate 67th republic day. 26th January is really so much grateful for us. . As we all know on 15th August 1947 India became Independent still at that time we were not capable enough to run the whole nation so a constituent gathering was formed, which included Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. It was on January 26th, 1950 that the constitution of India came into force and India became a truly ruler, Democratic and republic country. So this day we have to celebrate as the Republic Day of India. I wish to my all respected teacher, principal, chief guest and friends Happy 67th Republic Day…Our name of our great Indian leaders and freedom fighters are Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekher Ajad, Lala Lajpath Rai, Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel, Lal bahadur Shastri, etc. They fought continuously against the British rule to make India a free country. We can never forget their sacrifices towards our country. We should remember them on such great occasions and salute them.
